Ship gas sampling and operation

Description of course

 

“Ship gas sampling and operation” training plan and program is established according to requirements of Item 5.7 of Regulation 4 of Chapter II-2 of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and table of  A-V/1-1of Section A-V/1-1 of Seafarers’ Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code.

Intended for:

Required for officers who work on board of various types of ships.

  • Summary of Course

     

    • Knowledge on gas sampling.
    • Activation the gas sampling.
    • Conducting gas testing and reporting.
    • Operation and maintenance of gas sampling.
    • Selective topics.

     

    Assessment:

    At the end of the training, a test is carried out to assess participants` knowledge.

    All questions are covering the training course.

    64% correct of answers is acceptable, the reverse is considered unacceptable. If the result is unacceptable, the participant can attend the next exam. If attendance next exam is missed for three months, the result is considered unacceptable.

  • Seafarer Medical Certificate;
  • Copy of Diploma;
  • Certificate of Competence (if available);
