Inert gas system

Description of course

“Inert gas system” training plan and program is established  according to requirements of Item 5.5 of Regulation 4 of Chapter II-2 Section B of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and table of  A-V/1-1 of Section A-V/1-1 of Seafarers’ Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code.

Intended for:

Required for officers who work on board of various types of ships.

  • Summary of Course

    • Compounds of oil and oil products. Purpose of implementation of inert gas system.
    • Main hazards of oil and oil products.
    • Constructive elements of the Inert gas system.
    • Safety measures during the implementation of the inert gas system.
    • Selective topics.

     

    Assessment:

    At the end of the training, a test is carried out to assess participants` knowledge.

    All questions are covering the training course.

    64% correct of answers is acceptable, the reverse is considered unacceptable. If the result is unacceptable, the participant can attend the next exam. If attendance next exam is missed for three months, the result is considered unacceptable.
