Description of course

 

This course intended for chief engineers and electric engineers who work on board of various types of ships; furthermore, it is established according to requirements of the Regulation I/6 of International convention on standards of training, certification, and watchkeeping for seafarers(STCW), 1978, as amended, as well as Sections A-III/1, A-III/2 and A-III/6 of STCW  Code, taking into consideration 2010 Manila amendments. The course provides knowledge regarding operation and safety rules for high-tension equipment and the methods for testing and maintenance of high-tension electric equipment.

Summary of Course

Assessment

At the end of the training, a computer-based test is carried out to assess participants` knowledge. All questions are covering the training course and 64% of questions must be correct. Otherwise, the participant`s result is unacceptable. Each participant has the rights to attend the exam twice. Participants must attend the next exam for three months, if not the next exam is accepted as a fail. After two failed attempts, the participant must attend the course next time.

Certification 

Participant successfully completed the course, is issued relevant certificate by the State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communication, and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

  • Seafarer Medical Certificate;
  • Copy of Diploma;
  • Certificate of Competence (if available);
