Safety familiarization, basic training and instruction for all seafarers
“Safety familiarization, basic training and instruction for all seafarers” training plan and program is established taking into consideration the requirements of International convention on standards of training, certification, and watchkeeping for seafarers(STCW), 1978, as amended, as well as tables of A-VI/1-1; A-VI/1-2; A-VI/1-3; A-VI/1-4 of Section A-VI/1 of STCWCode and based on the International Maritime Organization`s (IMO) Model Course 1.13, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21.
Required for officers who work on board of various types of ships.
- Familiarization and ensure safety, as well as survival techniques.
- Mitigation of fire risk or preparedness for fire.
- First aid during casualties.
- Personal safety and public responsibility.
At the end of the training, a test is carried out to assess participants` knowledge.
All questions are covering the training course.
64% correct of answers is acceptable, reverse is considered as unacceptable. If the result is unacceptable, the participant can attend the next exam. If attendance next exam is missed for three months, the result is considered unacceptable.
